During a recent banking and financial services recruiter networking conference call, more than a dozen of the top banking recruiters nationwide discussed open banking and financial services positions they are currently recruiting for.

There was notable trend – the most in-demand jobs are in the realm of Lending and Trust. Here are a few of the positions accounting recruiters are currently seeking to fill:

·         Sr. Commercial Bankers in Va. Beach

·         Regional President - 20+ years commercial banking with focus on C&I. 5-7 commercial relationship managers. Salary – low $150-175, high $225. Under $20 bil bank.

·         Chief Credit Officer - $1.5 bil growing bank in central PA. Base $160-175, total comp $200+, very limited relo.  More on credit admin/loan review/loan workout side. Manages team of 25 people. Does the credit review/administration for all commercial and retail consumer loans.

·         Auditors based anywhere in country who are willing to travel 50%. For one of the big names in banking. Could be based in NY, Wilmington DE, Jacksonville FL, South Dakota, Dallas TX. Base comp $80-150, plus incentives. Don’t have to be CPAs, would love someone out of public accounting. 2-15 years experience.

·         Chief Information Officer - Manufacturing company in east Texas that did $300 mil in sales last year. Salary $120-130k. Transfer from anywhere in country. Someone who understands distribution and retail and control of the manufacturing IT functions.

·         HR Director – Manufacturing company in east Texas - 1,400 employees in several states. $ 120-130k base salary plus bonuses and very liberal relocation package.

·         Commercial industrial lenders – typically have 4-6 of those type positions around Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas.

·         Controller for privately-owned east Texas bank. Profitable and growing, top 3 ROE in country. Looking for well-experienced candidate to progress to CFO level position in about 5 years. 80-100k, above-average benefits.

·         President of a credit union – Salary north of $200k.

·         President of natural gas & energy company in Omaha. $500k+ position.

·         VP of HR search in San Francisco.

·         Sr. Manager of Accounting Policy in Iowa. 10 years exp, CPA, IFRS, need experience specific in life insurance products. Target $130k base w/ 20% target bonus, will relo.

·         100 advisors at retail level nationwide in next 18-24 months – huge growth initiative with wealth mgmt. client. Requirements: solid work history for last 5+ years, active FINRA licenses (Series 7, w/ 65 or 66; minimum Active 65 license). Focused in retirement plan market. Major metro markets nationwide: Boise, ID, Seattle, Portland, LA, San Diego, Dallas, Lincoln NE, Atlanta GA, NYC

·         Trust positions with regional bank in Midwest.

·         C&I lending credit analysts

·         Candidates within 100-mile radius of the Twin Cities

The most sought-after locations include: New York metro, Dallas, Austin, Omaha, Philadelphia, Atlanta, San Diego, and San Francisco.
