Job Description:
This opportunity requires federal, state and local tax compliance knowledge for the preparation and/or detailed technical review of corporate and pass-through entity income/franchise tax returns; and research and technical skills for consulting on federal, state and local tax projects. In addition, this position will eventually entail performing tax research and working with clients on tax matters including tax planning and implementation; tax due diligence; tax controversies with various jurisdictions; matters related to FAS 109 and FIN 48; and assistance in client management and practice development opportunities. The candidate must exhibit a professional demeanor and be able to interact with clients on a professional level. Travel is limited, although some overnight travel may be required.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications - Must Have: - Bachelor's degree in accounting required. - 3- 5 years tax experience in public accounting with a federal, state and local tax compliance/consulting focus. - Compliance review and supervisory experience is a plus, but not required. - Must be qualified to sit for the CPA or possess a CPA. - Must possess a desire to develop their research and writing skills and possess strong communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain client relationships. - Demonstrated ability and desire to perform in a high-energy, fast paced environment. - Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, RIA Go-System software, CCH and RIA Checkpoint desired. - A general understanding of sales and use tax, property tax, and credits and incentives is a plus. - Must be willing to work overtime during busy season and as required.
