JOB DESCRIPTION

Facilitate loan growth while preserving credit quality in the Private Banking loan portfolio.  The function involves data acquisition and intensive analysis resulting in executive level management reports and loan presentations.  Incumbent may participate with lending officers on customer calls and attend internal credit committee meetings.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Underwriting – Provide analytical support for Private Banking group.
?Proficieny in Underwriting includes:
• Financial analysis of the borrower and guarantors including personal and business tax returns, financial statements and other documents.
• Collateral analysis.
• Recommending loan structure and documentation.
• Completion of credit memorandum or similar approval documents
• Mentoring & Training of junior analysts.
 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Position Requirements: 
• Position requires a bachelor’s degree in a business related field such as Accounting, Finance or Economics. 
• Minimum 5 years of experience in private banking or commercial bank credit analysis and underwriting or similar related functions. Some experience in mortgage underwriting may be considered. Underwriting in Private Banking environments is strongly preferred.
• Position requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office products is required. Experience with Moody’s RiskAnalyst, Buker Taxanalysis (or comparable analytical software) is preferred.
